International Exchange Students

APPLICATION FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

Undergraduate students seeking academic mobility at UFABC must first complete the Academic Mobility Application Form and submit it to their home university’s international office. The form must be signed and stamped (physically or digitally) with the university seal, as this confirms the student’s eligibility for the mobility program.

1. Copy of the student’s passport or ID page.

2. Student transcript of records from the home institution.

3. The completed Academic Mobility Application Form.

4. A copy of the International Travel / Health Insurance policy, according to the requirements below.

International Travel/Health Insurance Requirement

Please note that a copy of the student's international travel/health insurance policy is required for academic mobility at UFABC. This policy must offer full coverage for at least the entire duration of the mobility leave and must comply with the requirements of both the student's home country and Brazil.

The insurance must cover, at a minimum, medical assistance for accidents and illnesses (including COVID-19 coverage), as well as medical and funeral repatriation.

Important Note on Deadline: The student does not need to submit the insurance policy along with the initial application documents (1–3 above). APPLICATION FOR GRADUATE STUDENTS

The application procedure for the Graduate programs is different from the one described above. Find all the information about the procedures and documents required for postgraduate academic mobility for students from non-Brazilian institutions here. 

UFABC offers 29 research-focused master's and doctors' programs. Exchange students are welcome to take courses and research, participate in research groups, and use the lab facilities to develop their papers, thesis, and dissertation.

Through selected UFABC students, the Mates Program aims to provide incoming international students with closer personal support. This program helps ease your transition and adaptation to both the academic and social culture of UFABC and Brazil.
